My days are jammed full right now. No time for blog reading, or posting for that matter; my apologies. My Mom and Dad are here from New England, they are spending Thanksgiving with us. In the meantime, my MIL has contracted pneumonia. She has zero energy and is in need of our assistance. She doesn't want to come here to stay, we're shuttling food and help to her. I am going to do some of her laundry and take her back to the Dr. today, I have a feeling it's going to take a good, long while before she's back on her feet and able to function solely on her own again. Please send good thoughts and prayers for her restored health.
I'm posting a photo of the String Star in progress, this is what I worked on while in the mountains last weekend. These scraps are a walk through my fabric collecting life... all 24 years of quilting and beyond. Such fun! My hopes are for the central portion of this beauty to have 20 star blocks, the determining factor is the sashing fabric, which I had in a limited amount.

Your MIL and your will be in my prayers...its no fun to be sick at the holidays. All those diamonds you made last weekend really look great!
Beautiful quilt. I pray your MIL gets well soon. Enjoy your parents. Take care and don't forget to rest now and then.
Beautiful quilt top. Take care of yourself too.
You and your family are in my prayers. Please know that we're all thinking good thoughts for you!
Sending prayers for your MIL, and hugs to you! That quilt really is a beauty, Mrs. G., and what a treasure having some of all of your fabrics in it! :)
Prayers for you, your family & MIL during this time. It's hard, trying, to look after a loved one during the holidays. It takes the fun away from a time when there should be fun, laughter and memory making. Life is so short. Take care of yourself. Your String stars are great, such a great block to use those leftover pieces of "loved fabric" we can't just pitch!
Remember to take time to care for yourself . . . be here when you return *S*
I really love your quilt. I think the red made a huge difference in bringing it together. It makes it look more planned to me.
I hope you enjoy your time with your parents, and that your mother in law feels better very soon. That is a great quilt - so colorful and fun.
Take care of yourself too. I have said a prayer for your mother-in-law.
Prayers to your MIL and you too. You're dealing with a lot right now it seems. Grab Hannes and go hide in a corner every now and then. He'll make things all better.
Take your time, take care of your family, and hug them all close. You and your loved ones are in my thoughts. *hugs*
Sending thoughts and prayers to you and yours!
Beautiful quilt.
Your string quilt is absolutely beautiful! You and your MIL will be in my prayers for sure. Take care!
