Baby Quilts...

I have a few planned, (in my head) it's hard to stop a quilter from beginning to plan the baby quilts the minute they hear that a baby (any baby!) is on the way. But when that quilter just happens to be the grandmother... oh, baby; it's almost impossible! I spent last Saturday with our daughter at her home in the Capital City. We went to pick up some paint chips for the baby's room, blue for a boy and light lavender if it's a girl. I'm holding myself back and planning the quilts accordingly; my daughter is very superstitious about those things, so... I've waited.

She and her husband went for the ultrasound today, the one where gender can be revealed. They decided they'd like to know ahead of time... I'd be the same! The anticipation was almost too much to hold in... our daughter called a few minutes ago: blue it is! I'm sitting on ready... let the "little boy" quilts begin! Let's see, there's a pattern for trains, one for bugs, another for teddy bears; and there's puppy dogs, and cute frogs... where to begin? Where to stop?
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.

Good? Honey, life is GLORIOUS! A baby boy -- it doesn't get much better than that! (she enthused) And look at that darling BUMP on her front! I can't WAIT to welcome you to the Grandmothers Club.
