Sundance and I spent the entire day together yesterday, quilting the Kaleidoscope Stars that Bonnie helped to me to load two weeks ago. I just love the way she showed me to attach the quilt onto the rails, I hope I'll be able to do it that way by myself. Time will tell. I "warmed up" with paper and markers before I actually transferred the movements to the machine, it worked, too! Quiltkeemosabe gave me this book: Mindful Meanderings by Laura Lee Fritz, it was a huge inspiration, answering the "what do I quilt" question with a long list of fantastic options. (It's been my experience that a mindful approach to anything yields better results than my more typical mindless attack!) My husband installed wheels on Sundance, they lock down and I can move the machine back against the wall when I need more space in the Studio. They're great!
Speaking of wheels... my movable garden: I have planted some of the smaller planters for the patio with summer annuals but it's been too cool to leave them out overnight so far. I had been hauling them in and out of the garage for their dose of daily sunshine and my husband thought this cart would be a handy alternative. You betcha!

I LOVE that book! Someone suggested it to me and I am so glad that I purchased it. Now, I need to know about Bonnie's technique for loading a quilt onto the rollers!
Looking good. the book has some really good ideas for free motion guilting.
Love recommendation 25 - Laugh! My husband can always get me to laugh and that's one of his most marvelous traits.
