One Quilt At A Time

A warmer and softer world, one quilt at a time. At long last Sundance has surrendered this, her latest quilt, "Sugar and Spice". I've had this one loaded for a good while. The long arm journey continues, step by step. This sampler quilt was the example for a quilt making class that I taught at our local community college fifteen years ago, it has languished as a top long enough! The pattern is from Quilts! Quilts!! Quilts!!! a book by Diana McClun and Laura Nownes, it is still available and a great resource for quilt making of all levels. This has proved to be a great surface for playing with different free motion and straight-edge guided quilting techniques. Now, to find some fifteen year old fabric from the stash for binding; I don't think that will be a problem! The sweetest thing about "Sugar and Spice"? It's done! Stay tuned to see what follows this one... any guesses?

My guess is a baby quilt or the signature quilt.

This quilt is a wonderful display of your talent. I'm in awe.

Quilts seem to have a way of knowing just when it's time for them to be done *s* I'm going to put in my guess for a baby quilt, too *s*

Oh how pretty!! I can only say it seems "baby quilt" is the leader in voting :>)...whatever you create it will be a beauty!

By the way your previous post of "I'm Grateful" has become the new fav' for my office including our *Guidance Counselor* the reactions from folks when the response to the question of "how are you" is "I'm Grateful" is amazing, and always brings a response and most times a question of "for what"! Thank you for sharing that blog entry, love it!
