The Housekeeper's Gone...

... she's taking a mental health day today! It's true; I'm packing projects, three in-progress quilt tops to be exact, and taking them on down the road. It's an in-town, all-day, "quilt-in" at a local church. I am greatly looking forward to hours on end of humming sewing machines and happy camaraderie with my Bee Sisters. And, the (almost) unthinkable is happening... another cleaning day at Chez Goodneedle is being completely ignored! Yes, I seem to be able to interrupt my self-imposed, rock-solid, routine whenever my grandson or a retreat beckons. (Hey, I understand the value of prioritizing.) Stay tuned for photos...

Life is Good!

kyle and i would greatly benefit from just one cleaning day a month, so i admire that you are able to do it once EVERY week!

on that note, is there a way to NOT have dust?!?!

(((SMILE))) You are so cute!!

Have a fantastic day doing what you love!!! I am so happy to hear about your quilting/sewing get-together. That sounds like fun! Ohhh I wish I could do that! I started school and now my days are...Anna=school...Gracie=Nana and Papa's....Me=school....Me=carpool...Me=....etc, etc, etc. Well, I bet you know what I am talking about..lol..your a Mama... ((SMILE)) Have fun with your day. It's you time now to sit back, enjoy and do what you love!!
Talk to you soon.

I was also wondering..do you know how to clean a TUFF burnt-on-stain from a pan. It has this sticky brown-grease stain on the bottom of my skillet pan..It wont come off!! I have tried soaking, bleach, scrubbing, soap...it's like a sticky brown coating. I think from that oil spray on put on before cooking my last dish. (hamberger noodles) Very good dish...but whatever I did...I am suffering for it now.

Bye

I hope you enjoy your quilting retreat. Cleaning is overated anyway. With the quilting, at least you will have some progress to show for it.

Dust will wait, Mason and quilting with friends just need to be the priority now! I have yet to see a pic that shows that the dust has been gathering ;>)!! I love the snuggly blankets on your previous blog entry, they look perfect for that wonderful little Mason! How about a *tutorial* on your finished edges (binding) on those blankets, no matter how much I stare at them I can't figure it out LOL!

You go girl and have a good time. That cleaning will just wait until you get to it.

Totally off topic, but you have no idea how many memories the picture of that toy brought back. I used to have one of those - battery operated I believe - and I had forgotten all about it until I saw your picture. Hope you enjoyed your sew day.

Had a fun day...and dust bunnies deserve a day off too sometimes. I am with leigh anna, if my house gets one cleaning a month I feel done.

Sounds like a wonderful way to spend the day - anything is better than cleaning the house, though! The dust will wait and wait and wait......The photos will be great!

An all day quilting sounds great!
I think I need one of those too.

House cleaning can wait another day. :-)
