... then what comes in these?
Nothing is small in Las Vegas! This was just one of many extravagant, elaborate displays at The Bellagio. I was blown away by the lengths that this hotel goes to for seasonal displays. The fall
atrium was being "refreshed" while we were there with new and more vibrant pots of blooms. Incredible, there wasn't a discernible yellow leaf or bent petal on the "old" plants! There were "rain" trees
in the display and a full sized waterwheel, too! This was all eclipsed by the after-dark water show at the same hotel.
Jumping, dancing jets of water, set to music... beautiful! No, this
wasn't the hotel where we stayed, but I'll give you a great big clue as to where
the Goodneedles slept at night:
Got it? We hadn't been to Las Vegas in twenty years.
A LOT has changed! One of the most noticeable things for us was the lack of coin noises in the casinos! All the machines now operate electronically on a debit reduction, credit secured, plan. No more buckets of tokens or change noisily spilling out into stainless trays like it did in 1988. Well, not that we had that happen to us; not then, not now. These are merely observations! Winnings are displayed digitally in a window on the front of the machine. Not surprisingly, there were few people playing at the gaming tables while were there, we suspect that recent Wall Street activities have seen to that. With all of the glitz, glamour, and glitter we were happy, and ready, to return to life as we know it, right here in our little corner of the world! Oh, and God provided a little welcome home gift for us this morning, too... snow flurries!
We had a wonderful time, but it's true,
...there's no place like home...
Life is Good!

I can't imagine the casinos without all the coin noise. It looks like you all had a good time. I'm glad you're back safe and sound!
I have never been to Las Vegas but it looks like you had a good time. Yes, I agree there is no place like home.
