...and some things on hold! We cleaned out the attic yesterday. Kyle, and our daughter-in-law, pitched in to help. This type of "going through things" activity is always a dangerous proposition for me; I can all too easily be led far away, down memory lane, and fail to return to the task at hand. I think I did alright, for the most part. I found this five tier plant stand and just couldn't bear to give it up, at least not yet. If it wasn't a wedding present, then it was a gift from sometime in the first year of our marriage, we have photographic proof! Hey, this little plant stand was one of our very first pieces of furniture! I still love it, I'm not sure why. We took a pick-up truck load to
Goodwill yesterday afternoon; everything from a bed frame and a dresser to a kitchen clock and a kayak paddle, but the plant stand remains. I'm sure I can find a use for it long after these Poinsettias fade.
Life is Good!
Happy New Year!

you should let little h sit on the top tier:) he would look quite handsome up there! :)
by the way
do you have an ironing board?
I was at Goodwill yesterday too. Buying not donating. I purchased two knitted wool sweaters for the wool. Came home and soaked them both in Oxyclean and they are drying now. Both are a beautiful natural colored wool. Sometimes de-cluttering is hard because of all the memories.
I really like your plant stand too. The poinsettia's look great it in. You could always just get it out at Christmas. Of course, Begonia's for spring and summer would be gorgeous in it as well.
I can picture it with a Jim Shore piece on each shelf...because I don't do houseplants, much, while although I like them, they don't get the light they need here.
Very nice plant stand!
How about using it in your sewing area? Baskets filled with your sewing treasures.
Oh... I like Leigh Anna's idea... Hannes sits on top tier watching you while you sew. :-)
We had exactly the same plant stand, given to us as a wedding gift. Ours is long gone though....
We're home...had a great time in Mexico, and now today is Christmas Eve here at our house. All the kids are here and David is the center of attention. So much fun to finally have him here at Grammie's house!
Have a fun New Year's Eve.
Oh I like Rhonda's idea displaying sewing treasures. I know there's a couple of those around.

We are doing some of the same activities at our house but maybe not quite as much as you. Baby steps at this house!
Happy New Year!
Love your plant holder. I could put one cat on each tier... The cats eat the plants so plants don't last long in my house...
I spent yesterday cleaning out a walk-in closet of all sorts of things that we no longer use. It feels good, doesn't it? I wouldn't have gotten rid of that plant stand either. It's very special, I can tell! Some things live in our hearts and just won't leave.
