The Letter...
The Bush daughters wrote this letter to the Obama daughters, Malia and Sasha; it is touching, it is poignant. It only takes three and a half minutes to watch and listen. Do it, you won't have wasted a bit of time, you will be moved. But, you may wish you'd grabbed a tissue first... don't say I didn't warn you.

Thanks so much for sharing! You are right I did need tissues. Sometimes I think we forget that our leaders are just like us....human.
I heard them narate this letter this morning on the Today show...it was very touching. No matter what job your Daddy has...he is still your Daddy first.
Golly, that was lovely. Thank you for sharing it.
WOW !!!! What a great letter,I truly believe the old saying "until you walk in my shoes, etc." They sure know how to express their selves, so much warmth!! Yes, no matter what " job" your Daddy has, he is still your Daddy....Thanks for sharing.
I am sitting here at my desk, boo-hooing. What a sweet gesture from those two girls.
This was awesome!!! Do you mind if I post it too?? I snagged your button also!!
Tears on my keyboard at work, too... thank you for posting this!!!!!
This was so beautiful and gosh it made me cry...
I LOVE THAT!!!
and it made me love bush...that much more! :)
I heard it on the Today show and on Oprah. It brought tears to my eyes. How special that they would take the time to do that for the girls.
Thank you so much for posting this, it was an often heard chat at school today, and everyone was very touched by it. Now I can add that my tears are genuine, and my heart is touched by such a beautiful tribute from the daughters', not so much about being the daughters to a President but just about an awesome Dad that will always be Dad!
Also I picked up your *button* for my blog, AND tomorrow I will (hopefully) be enjoying your oatmeal for breakfast as posted earlier on your blog. I will let you know via my blog IF THE OATMEAL WORKED FOR ME ;>)!!
Thanks for passing this on...very, very touching!!!
Yesterday AM, the Today show shared the letter with their viewers. Yes, tears came to my eyes! So many who name-call, make fun of and just say mean things about our Presidents (any on them) need to remember the loved ones whose feelings will be hurt by their words. No one, no one likes to hear bad things about their loved one, no matter how old we are! President Bush should be very proud of his daughters.
Thank you. That was wonderful.
