Sweet Dreams and Sunshine

"Sweet Dreams and Sunshine"
45" x 58"

Another Picture Play quilt completed,
the Strawberry Patch is a busy place these days. This one is on its way to Illinois and a very special little girl who lives there. The squiggle quilting in the periwinkle colored borders is stitched with NiteLite Extra Glow (in-the-dark) thread and a little shot of hot pink for a pizazz-y piped edge finish.

Life is Good!
...and sew much fun...

First I must say ~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mason..what a sweet one year old! Where has the time gone, seems impossible it has been a year?

Love the quilt, lucky little gal that will be receiving it...and the piping is very creative on it! I have used the *flange* idea (thanks to Mickey), but not the piping ... that might be next for me!

What a charming quilt! I love the glow in the dark thread, I used it for a table runner.

Happy summer! I am back into the blogging world!

You have the best stash of fabrics for "Sweet Dreams and Sunshine" on the entire planet ~ it must be so!

I enjoy the photos to enlarge and really see things. Like that awesome detail work (piping) you did. Gosh, really. Sometimes the smallest details can really set things off just right.

Impressive Love, *karendianne.

Fun fun fun! Love the fabrics and piping and quilting. The lucky little girl can look at it for hours, discovering each different fabric (she can look even in the dark!) Wonderful job you did there :)

Isn't it about time you taught a workshop on this piping technique, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

What a fun quilt! That little strip of piped edging makes such a finished look! How does that glow in the dark thread work? Is it just as easy to sew with as regular thread?

Since this pattern is no longer available can you tell me what size you cut the blocks. I want to make this for my granddaughter. Thanks so much and have a great day.
