Irony

i⋅ro⋅ny [ahy-ruh-nee]
Incongruity between what actually happens and what might be expected to happen, especially when this disparity seems absurd or laughable.
Situational irony: type of irony emphasizing that human beings are enmeshed in forces beyond their comprehension and control.

This is the scene outside our windows this morning at 8 AM. The weather is changing right now; over to sleet and ice which is forecast to continue for the next 12-24 hours. We need to get out of our neighborhood tomorrow morning, but we may not be able to navigate the hills to get to the airport. Even if we do, there's a chance our flight will be canceled or delayed. Where are we going? On a ski trip! Now this is situational irony at it's best!

... here we come... (maybe)

Isn't it ironic??!!!....seems to me there was a song about that! But what a beautiful picture. Hope you are able to go on your trip.

You'll make it. I'll betting the hardest part will be getting up the hill on your road. You might hang out at the airport for a bit longer than you want but eventually, you'll be on some real snow having a blast.

Have a great trip and safe travels!

When will we silly schedule-laden humans figure out that Mother Nature is really the one in control?

LOVE the way you pulled this post together!!!

Safe travels. . .

Its beautiful to look at, but I sure would hate to have to go out in it. I hope you can make your trip, but do be careful.
