My daughter received a pair of these for her birthday recently. She held one out to me and asked if I knew what it was, I didn't. I suspected earrings, as there were two, (I'm quick that way) but there weren't any backs for the posts and I couldn't figure out how they would stay on. She was likewise stymied. A little internet research revealed this: Earstrings or threaders are the newest jewelry trend, designed to pull through the ear they simply dangle, front and back. Live and learn. Who knew?Life is Good!

I didn't know they made these anymore.... I got a pair from my grandfather for my Confirmation 24 years ago....
These are so pretty! I have a pair tat a friend in Colo. sent to me many years ago and I actually asked our jeweler about them and they can order them, They are kind of neat!..
I'm with Nancy. The whole "pulling through the ear" thing gives me the willies! (They are pretty though.)
Like Anne Heidi, I didn't know they made them anymore. I have a pair that are about 25 years old: silver (that tarnishes) with jet bobbles at one end.
What'll they think of next? I am SO not a girlie girl . . . . those strings would become entwined in my hair and locked into impossible knots faster than you can blink an eye *s* They are pretty, though. I admire those that can pull off the look.
do they hurt to put in? i can't imagine how they would feel!

Well they gotta keep coming up with new fads to keep us in the stores! I think they are very pretty.

Not at all! These earrings are so comfortable, you hardly even know you are wearing them, and the chain is so smooth, it glides through your piercings. (I feel like I'm writing a commercial!)
Eeeeeek, that thought creeps me out!!!!! They are pretty, but I can't get past the cringe factor!
