Dancing is wonderful training for girls.

I enjoy ballroom dancing. Back a few years ago my husband and I took lessons in preparation for our daughter's wedding. I loved everything about it, my husband didn't share my enthusiasm and our lessons concluded when the wedding was said and done. (It's pointless to dance without a partner!) Since then I have looked forward, each season, to watching "Dancing With The Stars", I appreciate the hard work and the dedication necessary for non-dancers to look so smooth and polished. I've picked my favorite and rooted for them. I'm sure the show will be just as entertaining in the coming season as it has been in the past; but, in all seriousness, don't you think that the name should be changed from "Dancing With The Stars" to "Dancing With Those Who've Made Headlines"?

I don't tell everyone, but this is one of my favorite shows.. I so agree with you, it seems like every installment they try to outdo the one before. I guess tonight we will see if there will be anyone worthy of my interest. I really hate that it has come to this, I did enjoy when the celebrities worked hard and we got to know them through the show, not because of the headlines they had made off the show.
I think it's more "Dancing with the c-list stars whose careers are on the verge of falling off a cliff and need a jump-start, even at the risk of proving said star to be a total klutz and possibly a moron".
Sorry, I used to watch, but stopped when they brought on Kate Gosselin. Enough is enough.
On the other hand, I used to LOVE watching those ballroom dancing competitions hosted by Juliet Prowse....
I love dwts too! I usually record it so I can watch it more quickly and not have to sit through all the recaps. I've found that even though I might not know some of those B-List stars at the beginning of the season, I'm cheering them on by the end. :-) And while we're at true confessions, I also love "America's Got Talent". :-)
Why is that that men don't enjoy dancing? GO figure!
Dancing with the Tabloids. Golly and Gee ... HOW do they select these dancers?!
Another example of parallel lives . . .
So, so right! That's why I just had to stop watching the show. I wanna see football players and old actresses with a lot of game left in them. NOT Kate, the bad mother of eight. :(
ooh, i also took ballroom lessons, at arthur murray no less! it was the most fun of my entire life so far, and i too, eagerly anticipate DWTS, a devoted watcher....great minds....
