My husband and I took a quick trip to the mountains to do some leaf-peeping on Monday. That's where we were when we found ourselves driving along this road. Whoa~
Wow! I wouldn't want to drive down this unfamiliar road at night! I wonder if there was some special significance to this tree that it wasn't cut down when the road was paved? Hope it was a nice day of leaf peeping!
What a beautiful, peaceful spot! (Bayley and Marlee are yanking on my pant legs reminding me to tell you that they 'need' to 'see' Hannes; they say it has been a long while and they miss him :D )
Just beautiful fall colors and very unusual placement for the tree?! I know you had a wonderful time. My hubby and I are headed to "leaf country" next week. Can't wait! DD
So glad you got a photo to share with us! That's priceless.
In a nearby town, there was a huge old Sycamore tree that was flanked by a road in and out, for many decades. On our trips to Grandma's, we always looked for the grand tree as we went by on the highway. Sadly, the old tree got sick and died and was cut down to a stump some years ago. I miss it whenever I drive out that way!
