Puppy Parade!

I hope these puppies are patient, they're going to have to wait their place in line ("down-stay"!) before they get their date with Sundance. This flimsy measures 50" X 60" and is from the pattern Nickel Dogs by Me and My Sister Designs. My pups are stitched from some of the leftover charm squares that didn't make it into my Postage Stamp Basket quilt from this past summer. Even though I have had a few false starts on this one, (reading the written directions is always a good idea!) I loved every minute of working on this quilt. I'm going to need to ponder some quilting ideas, perhaps it will "speak" to me, at some point, in that regard! If anyone has any thoughts, I'm listening...

Fun, fun, fun ... not to stress about the quilting ~ the puppies will indeed "speak" to you when the time is right!

I love this quilt, especially wrong-way Charlie down in the corner. So much personality! For quilting, how about an all-over bone motif?

How about quilting doggy words across it: Sit...Stay...Down...Wait...Fetch...Woof...so on

and dog bones in the borders?

One of my favorite mantras... "Wag More Bark Less" could be quilted around the border. I love this quilt!

What a great quilt! I had not seen that pattern before, but it is a keeper.
