This is chapter #2 of
the post where these girls began their sewing journey. After a quick lesson in our church basement at the beginning of last month we set a date for a full day of productive sewing at
The Strawberry Patch during Christmas vacation. Two precious doll quilts (front
and back shown) are the result; that, and the happy look of accomplishment on these adorable faces! I hope that as time goes by these girls will look back and remember the fun that we had today, and how enjoyable a day spent sewing can be.

The girls are adorable and they made some awesome quilts! Way to go girls!
Thank you for spending the day with the girls. My boy just asked where your husband's blog is. The new quilt has been given to the new doll and she loves it. Thank you for being a part of my children's lives.
Job well done---the girls and you too!!!! The quilts look wonderful and the girls look soooo happy! Future quilters for sure!
Very cute doll quilts--how fun for the girls! I so wish I had had someone teach me machine sewing when I was that age! I had to wait until I was 11 and could take it in jr high. But I have been sewing ever since and plan never to stop!
Lovely quilts and I am sure they will remember this day forever. Happy New Year to you!
The girls look really happy with their quilts, as well they should be. It's nice to know we have two new prospects for future quiolters for the Augsburg Quilt Ministry.
