Our Son, His Son

Our son is a Daddy now; you know that. He is our baby and sometimes I forget that he is a man. Well, you know what I mean; I don't actually forget that fact, my head knows that he's a grown man but this mother's heart of mine knows him as a little boy. This picture was taken in the car last Sunday, on our way home from the Capital City. My baby boy and his: notice Gregory's tiny hands and Kyle's pinky finger... this photo melts my heart like nothing else!
Life is Good!

I LOVE that photo!!

My daughter is 35, mother of 4 now (including one who will be 9 y.o. next month), and she's still my baby. I've always told her that she was always be my baby ... and now I think she's beginning to understand it! ;-)

I tear up over photos like that... my son has three boys and my daughter has two girls... gets to me all the time... Even tho both my DS and DD are in their mid- to late-30s, they're still my babies!

So sweet! And I know just what you mean. I was trying to explain to David that his Daddy is my "baby", but that gets no understanding yet. ;-)

I remember people telling me to enjoy the moments because they grow up so fast but the moments, thankfully, keep coming. This picture sums up our purpose as parents, doesn't it? It makes you cry and swell with love and pride, all at the same time!

I think the thing that fills my heart the most as a parent is watching my son be a good parent to his children. And in a few months, I will see my daughter start on that journey as well. We are blessed, we truely are.

Aw..that is so sweet. My daughter in law took the cutest picture. She got one of my son's bare feet (the bottom) with his three sons feet between. Really cute
