On Which To Rest...

... his sweet head. Our daughter wanted a quick pillowcase tutorial this past weekend. Mason loves his small pillow and needed a replacement case to swap out for those all too often times when his original pillowcase is in the wash! Some John Deere fabric from the stash to the rescue, a little embroidery and some rick rack for panache~ et, voilĂ  ! Little did we know it then, but this pillowcase would be providing necessary therapy for a very active almost three-year-old. He's been ordered to rest that head (and limit his physical activity for the next week to ten days) after a fall on Sunday afternoon that resulted in a concussion and skull fracture. He was admitted to the hospital through the Pediatric E.R. at our local hospital and spent the night for observation, he will be fine; it's going to take time, and rest... and prayers, lots of prayers, for speedy healing (as well as patience for Mom and Dad)!

...rest that sweet head, little one, we love you...

And THIS is why young people have babies! HA! Our youngest son fell and cut a gash just below his eye 3 days before he was to meet his Korean caseworker. I worried so that they would think I was not taking good care of him! He hugged her and ran around like a banshee. She got the message! lolol

Something tells me that keeping an "almost" 3 yo quiet will be quite a chore.....poor little guy.....sending prayers for a speedy recovery. I remember one Easter sunday long ago when my 3 yo baby brother ended up in the ER needing stitches on his forehead after a nasty tumble.....

Good luck to Mason's parents ! I know keeping a toddler quiet is not easy - especially when he starts to feel better! The pillowcase is adorable. I'm a John Deere girl from years on the farm!

Oh, so sad! I saw M's post on FB asking for prayers and wondered what was up. Poor Mason! And how frightening for his parents and grandparents!! Good luck keeping him down for the next week! ;-)

Boys ... been there, done that. Sometimes I have wondered how (for them and for me).

Hugs and prayers abound.

Oh goodness! Boys can be so rough and tumble...John's preschool name at Thanksgiving when he was about 2 years old was Chief Bumping Head, a name he carried forward for a long time.

Prayers for a speedy recovery for Mason and for comfort for the grown-ups :)

Ah the joys of having a curious, active little boy! That first trip to the ER is an adventure I wouldn't wish on anyone, and keeping Mason quiet for the next week-10 days is going to take a lot of patience! Glad he is OK. He must have a lump on his head the size of the Smoky Mountains.
