Birds In The Barn

Today I have marked another one off the UFO list...Check!
In the relative scheme of things this one isn't all that old. It was the "cover" quilt on an old issue (perhaps June or July 2007?) of BH&G American Patchwork and Quilting, I remember buying the fabric for this when I was visiting family in Massachusetts that summer. It was quilted three years ago when I was learning on Sundance and putting her through her paces; but it wasn't bound... until now. I hung it for it's portrait along a rail behind the fascia board on our side porch, that's why the top looks shaded, the quilt's color really is more consistent throughout; the bottom half is a more fair and accurate representation.

Congratulations! Where will it live now? No room at your house? There may be some at mine!

Doesn't that feel good? I love your color choices, and the scrappy, but controlled, look. Great job!

Love it! But then, I think I love any quilt that has a lot of red.

How wonderful to find an almost-done quilt! The birds are beautiful, and the colors look just about right for a 4th of July debut.
