My son has this one-cup, stove top, coffee maker at his house. I was there yesterday taking care of my grandson; before he left for work Kyle demonstrated how to fill the base reservoir with water and put a scoop of ground coffee in the funnel, he invited me to use it during my stay. I decided to try it out during the little one's nap time to fuel me through the remainder of the morning. It was fast and the fresh brewed coffee was delicious. I'm going to look for one of these, it's more economical (and less wasteful) than the pod-style one cup brewers; and, easily, just as quick.
Plus, it's as cute as it can be!

How cool... will have to look for one of these too!
Oh good morning and look at you with your time caring for Gregory. Hope all is well. Happy you're there. Cute little one-cup'er. With the price of coffee we all could use one of this I think.
I have a 4-cup stove top coffee maker that I keep for my favorite brother-in-law. It is the only coffee he will drink. It has saved me too, during many power outages. Love your blog.

My son has used this style of pot also but I don't know if he brewed one cup at a time or not. The reason I've never been interested in having a pod style was the belief that buying the coffee pods would be costly, although I've not checked. I use my regular Mr. Coffee and make a small amount for me and it works just fine so I'll stick to that for now. The little pot in the photo is so stylish though.
My daughter has one of those and loves it. I'd have to admit I'd need instructions but she pulls out an old Mr Coffee when we visit!
This is the kind of coffee maker I have. I first used this type while living in Key West many moons ago. I do love the coffee it makes. From the voice of experience: do not run through the dishwasher using soap; it permanently discolors the aluminum. No problems otherwise. Enjoy!
These type of coffee makers are used in Spain as well. We didn't have one (we were not daily coffee drinkers then!), but you could find them anywhere. I just saw a small reuseable filter for the pod type coffee makers...that might help the price.
You just need to give us a little more information about this one-cup wonder so we can go looking also. Afterall, you know we are going to want one too! Judy C in NC
Hmm looks like a good idea for my Dad this Christmas. The pod coffee makers take just as much space as a regular coffee maker, this one is much cuter and probably much more economical.
I had one of that coffee pot. We used it to make demi tasse. - a very strong Italian coffee. I still have some of the small cups that Iused to serve that coffee. Thank you for your WORDS. sonia
one cup...I don't know...how does it taste????
My son and son in law have the same pot too!
