Eight Shops, Eight Hours... Whew!

As soon as the first shop opened it's doors for business, Quiltkeemosabe and I 'hopped' until we dropped on Thursday; eight quilt shops in as many hours. The theme of the shop-hop was "At The Hop"; Sew Original definitely had the most theme spirit! Dressed in bowling shirts and bobby socks the staff there was having as much fun as the customers, cutting fabric and filling orders while singing and dancing to 50's tunes! Scroll down to see all the shops we visited along the way. There were prizes and gifts; and of course, a huge helping of quilty inspiration at each and every stop! What could be better than shopping, quilts, and friends? I can't think of one single thing.

Oh, what fun your shop hop must have been! Hope you found lots of goodies!

Leave it to Shirley and Melinda to come up with something so "theme-y"! Those two are a hoot!! I usually go to the Sew Original in Boone. That's where I bought Buttercup (my QE440).

I love shop hops--but that pace can be exhausting!

Exhausting but FUN...I find myself a bit envious of what you have shared, but smiling as I read your description of your wonderful *shop hop*! I have never been on a *shop hop*, there is always one at Quilt Odyssey, that Mickey and I attend, maybe next year we will make that one of our goals for the show!

Shop hops are fun- my good friend Lou go on our own version of them when she comes to the city for the day. We usually take in about 4 shops sometimes 5. You must have been tired -even though there were lots of fun things to see.
Love the bowling shirts and girls with the scarves. That must have been a real hoot..
Regards,
Anna

Hey there is my quilt.
I made it to a couple of the shops. I did have the privilege of hearing the gals at Sew Original sing. Love those bowling shirts.
