I'm celebrating, but not with the vessel pictured here. While cleaning the closet and listening to the radio a certain song by Toby Keith permeated the airwaves and crawled, through my ear, straight to the inside of my brain. Grrr. I cannot get rid of it. You know what I mean. I would love to celebrate the absence of this song from my head but it has taken up residence. From now on I am going to wear ear plugs when I work, they're highly effective ear worm barriers.
Life is Good!
~and silence is golden~

i love that song, and apparently your brain does too!
It's a great little song... the first hundred times.
I like it too but it has been played an awful lot lately.
I believe song writers are the most creative people..to take simple things, like a red solo cup, and build a song around it, then the next thing they write is usually a deep moving ballad..wish I had talent.
Maybe we can swap. I still have "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" buried in my brain.
Funny part is, all attempts to overwrite the song that is stuck seem to fail ... until suddenly a different song is on endless loop.
All in good time, I guess.
Personally I want a Blue Solo Cup song!
"Heard it Through the Grapevine", is my nightmare song!
OK, heard a bunch of people say "What?" Just showing my age.
We were talking about this song last night at handbell rehearsal. We're playing a particularly difficult piece on Sunday to accompany the voice choir. It was a frustrating rehearsal with one person almost in tears. At the end she said she planned to go up to communion on Sunday (after we'd finished playing the piece) with her Red Solo Cup! A bit irreverent, but it was funny and broke the tension of the rehearsal. And then that doggone song was stuck in my head for the rest of the evening. It was gone this morning....but now after reading your post, it's ba-a-a-a-ck!!
I usually by the blue ones....
Dave loves this song! And I'll hear him humming and singing as he comes through the house...
"Red Solo Cup...I'll fill you up.."
Ooops..I suppose I'm not helping, am I? LOL!!
Ha, ha, ha. I just recently heard that song for the first time. Now you know why the radio is not my friend. I like itunes where I can create and play my own list, not someone else's! : )
Isn't it funny how something like that can stick to your brain? And doesn't it always seem like it's something that you normally wouldn't enjoy? It happens to me at the gym when they play pop or rap songs during a cardio class!
Sadly all it took was reading your post and now it's stuck. I'm scanning and then shredding files at work so it is better than that noise. LOL
Ooh, I HATE it when that happens. I've even had an ear worm last overnite. Nasty little buggers they are.
Well ... I have never heard the song but you know I will find it. I used to own everything Toby Keith had recorded.
Changed b'friends ... changed music. The next guy was hooked on Madonna ... choke.
Here is the You Tube link if anyone has not heard this song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKZqGJONH68
