There are good things going on all month over at
Pleasant Home, a scrappy sew-along with all sorts of beautiful, colorful, happiness. Check it out; there's a button to link you on my sidebar. There will be guest bloggers, give-aways, inspiration, tips and tutorials... sounds like a good place to spend time as I clean out my scraps (and chunks, and yardage... oh, my!) and look for new places to use them... not just in January, but all year long. I am posting a photo of my stash closet as it looked five years ago... very neat and organized. Going public with this photo
will should inspire me to USE what I have on hand, and neaten up the storage space to it's former, tidier, glory.
Hold me accountable, and wish me luck!
A scrappy sew-along sounds just right, don't you think? Grab 'em, chop 'em, use 'em! Let's go! I am sew ready!

You don't mean that in 5 years that closet hasn't maintained it's pristine beauty? : )
My sewing room is in transition. Since my sons moved back home I am having to rearrange everything to accommodate them each having their own room in the basement. Several items are finding a home in my sewing room. We'll see if I can still get to enough of my fabric to sew anything!
I wish you well in your venture!
Well, we won't EVEN talk about what mine looks like. As my husband says, hurricane Liz came thru and left more damage in its wake than Katrina ever did!
Oh that sew along sounds like fun. It's always great to use from stash and make room for more...LOL. Love your organized fabric picture!
Yours is the second blog I have read this morning that refers to decluttering. Hmmm..maybe I need to take that as a message and get busy. Happy New Year!
Looks like art work to me! I love stacks of fabric! Sew, Girl, sew!!! xo
I'm ready too. Should be fun.
Sounds like a plan man! Can't wait to see what you come up with!
Well it certainly looks tidy - but I really think you should show us how it looks today - it would make everyone feel much better about their messy stashes!
