Gadabout
Noun: A habitual pleasure-seeker.
Synonym: vagabond - tramp - hobo - vagrant - wanderer - runabout.
A quick load of laundry and a repack of my suitcase had me on the road once again, the very next morning; this time headed east toward the Capital City. I spent two days and nights with these sweet faces. This week is VBS at our daughter's church, she has snack duty for the week; I hung around and helped out where I could. The grands are growing up much too quickly, they are on the go every minute that they're awake! Fully armed with loads of hugs and kisses I slowly made my way home through horrendous, stormy weather yesterday afternoon. Today I'll be making up for time away and trying to live down my most recent nickname!
Yep, that's me, a gadabout. Nane and I were off to Ohio for the weekend to visit with our good friend, OhQuilter. After an overnight, a hearty breakfast and some goodbye hugs we were back on the road again headed toward North Carolina. Nane is familiar with the area of Ohio where we traveled and was eager to relive a happy memory with a certain item on the menu at Bob Evans, we stopped at the historic home site and restaurant in Rio (pr: RYE-OH) Grande.

You've been a busy lady!! Love the photo of M and the kids.....don't they grow up way to fast? Lucy Ann is no longer a baby! Nothing's better than spending time with "the grands", cuddling, listening, playing. Just thinking about your visit makes *me* feel all warm inside too. :-)
Your grandchildren are the same ages as 2 of mine. However a drive doesn't get me to see them. They are in Australia, however,we will be going to see them this September.
Busy, busy, busy. Ohio, Bob Evans--brings back memories of summers spent in Dayton with my grandparents and cousins in Cincinnati. Fun, fun, fun. Lucy Ann caanot possibly be that old already. Where has the time gone?!?!?
We were in Ohio about 3 years ago and ate at a Bob Evans. DH spent the rest of our trip on over to Vermont trying to find another Bob Evans. He found an address online for one in Rochester, New York, and when we pulled up we saw it existed no longer. He was so disappointed!
Gadabout is a term that fits you to a "T"--NOT!!
Glad you had fun on your adventures -- gorgeous grands!
You and your daughter could pass for sisters, Mrs. G! So glad you had such a wonderful time. Those young 'uns are growing like weeds, but ever so much more handsomely.
Such fun times. Enjoy!
Wonderful memories you're making this summer :)
Any time we get together with my folks and the grands.... we have "Good Times Today"! O.K. so are you going to "share" the new nickname?
Just wondering if it's from the grands or not? LoL... hope you had fun!
