A Piece-full Summer
So, you know already that I'm in love with Presencia thread for piecing; it's 60 wt. and 3-ply, the best of both worlds for fineness and for strength. This thread takes up virtually no space in the seam allowance and leaves practically no lint whatsoever in the bobbin area. After today my babysitting responsibilities are taking a summer break, and while I will miss spending Mondays and Tuesdays with Gregory and Lynnleigh I've been busy planning my summer projects: days full of piecing are stretching out before me! In anticipation of these marathon sewing sessions I ordered a few BIG cones of basic colors from Miss Rosie, they arrived last week and I'm now I'm all set, ready to stitch the summer away; it seems like it's been a long time since I've spent any serious sewing time.

Enjoy your summer sewing!
Since our local network changed the time they broadcast Wheel and Jeopardy, I never catch them anymore, so I missed the fun--but I can't believe you missed that word, Mrs. G.! : )
I haven't used Prescencia. I did a visual comparison between it and the Aurifil thread when I was visiting a friend who used both. The Prescencia seemed thicker, but I'm not sure now which weight she had. I'll have to quiz her and see what she thinks. No one around here sells it, so I have stuck to Aurifil.
You are all set to do some BIG TIME sewing now!!
I have been using up all the neutral thread from the years of clothing sewing my Mom did. I may actually have to start buying thread again to piece with so I will keep this recco in mind.
I caught Wheel of Fortune last night. I was yelling "quilting" at the screen. Have a great summer and enjoy your sewing projects.
A summer of sewing sounds like a very fun thing indeed. But then so does spending time with the grands.
I am definitely going to try this--just as soon as I work my way thru all the Aurifil I stocked up on just before you first mentioned Presencia.....
LOL...I saw Wheel of Fortune that night, too. Both my husband and I yelled 'quilting' right away! :))
I would love to have shouted out that answer:) Too funny !
