Maybe It's A Phase

I love my Mom, I really do; but sometimes she can totally overreact... maybe it's a phase she's going through. Yesterday she dust-mopped the floor, thoroughly, and proceeded to spread out a large sheet of  extra-fluffy white batting (the super-comfy type, my favorite) she taped down the corners to get it flat and square. Then she placed three pinned-together quilt sandwiches atop the batting, fleece sides up (just the way I like them) and began pinning those onto the fluffy white sheet, she crawled around on her hands and knees as she did this... pinning, straightening, pinning some more. I settled down to watch the goings on, she was doing such a nice job; I picked my spot carefully when she wasn't looking in my direction. All of a sudden it happened... she freaked out!  I'm not sure that I understand her; after all, she went to all that trouble to create a spacious and soft, warm and wonderful, place for me to rest and then she went and changed her mind, jumping up and down and shooing me off!
I really didn't want to move, I loved my new bed.
Maybe it's a just phase she's going through...
I hope so. A boy can take only so many mixed messages.

Sigh.
Life is Good!

(That's what Mom says... I'm still confused.)

A mom can just tell what their baby is thinking just by their body language. Thanks for interpreting!

It's called "parenting the parent". This, too, will pass.

Good choice for a bed--nothing beats a hand made quilt :)

A certain cat that I know would have staked her claim to the very center of this new bed.

Poor Hannes --Arlo says you need to tell your mama she needs a to make you a quilt of your own. He has his own quilt but he also hi is all the other quilts in the house are his too.

We have this problem when I sit down to work on my laptop. I usually wind up with 3 doxies + the laptop: and my lap is not that big anymore. But it is great to be loved.

LOL... it seems when I throw the workings of a quilt in the floor, it turns into a dog magnet, for sure! They just come over, plop down, with their noses on the floor.. like, "I'm here to stay."

Sadie Anne would have viewed my being on the floor as "pet time" and assumed the position to be rubbed, massaged and petted all over her body. I have to put her outside whenever I do any floor work. Aren't they WONDERFUL???

Adorable! Now, be truthful: did you get these precious pictures of Sir Hannes before...or after? ;)
