Ripe For The Picking
My Mom and Dad are visiting from New England, they'll be with us through Mother's Day. This morning Dad and I had a date at a local strawberry farm and picked a couple of buckets between us to bring back home, they are every bit as sweet and delicious as they look. I can't imagine any better way to start a day. The berries won't last long but this memory will; take a look at my Dad's face, his smile says it all... priceless!

Oh, I can't wait for strawberry season--we still have at least a month to go!
Enjoy your parents visit!
Gail in NH
my mouth is watering!!
That expression is even sweeter than the berries!
I just saw a wonderful post on Eating Well blog about strawberry jam. I want some fresh strawberries but we are still getting down close to freezing at night. Enjoy both the time with your folks and the berries!
Aww, that is so awesome! My dad's been gone since 1988 and my mom since 2000. You are so lucky to have both of them still with you!! Have fun!!
What a great memory made.........enjoy your visit with your parents.
Yeah! Stawberries from the Strawberry Patch!
Enjoy! The berries and the company
for sure we won't see those here in new england for another 6 wks at least....no doubt they will be "double dipping"....LOL
I so miss my dad ... who used to say that if God made anything better than strawberry shortcake He kept it for Himself! Thanks for sharing!!
When I was a teen in Oregon my friends earned Summer money picking strawberries. They did this for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. By the end of the summer their hands were bright red and their knees were really sore. I earned my money babysitting twin red headed baby boys, much easier. But I did eat the strawberries!
Give my love to your parents! We are so lucky to have our parents!
Mmmm, now you're teasing us......I will remember this come cherry season here in the northwest......
