The Bottom of the Basket

Today needs to be documented! I iron every week, there are only two of us in this house and I plow through our weekly ironing each and every week in short order. Why, then, do I never so much as scratch the surface of the bottom of the ironing basket? Because, that's where the iron-able table linens reside! I'm sort of a C&E* table linen gal.Well, today was the day; I counted: 1 table cloth, 15 placemats, 25 napkins, and two Irish linen tea towels. No telling how long these had been living in the bottom of the basket. No more! I'm ready for Easter this year (and Christmas, too!)-- bring it (them) on. Oh, yeah-- have I told you how much I love my new iron?

I'm im"pressed". :)
About the only thing I iron anymore are clothes that come out of the dryer (and sometimes a second cycle with a damp cloth added) too wrinkled to wear. Your linens look lovely--may I bring mine over? :)

So good to see your white linens. I too am using my Grandmother's table cloths and napkins and they do need an iron. I think of her so often and I remember her beautiful tables for Sunday dinners and holidays.
