Time Out!

Yesterday's post about Gregory finishing up his Star Wars quilt was only accompanied by a few photographs. There was no shortage of them, choosing which ones to post was the hardest. Gregory is high energy and taking breaks, frequently, was part of the strategy to get everything done. At one point I happened to look up and realized that there was a standoff occurring on the cutting table! I couldn't resist snapping this photo. He really did extremely well pushing through with the finishing steps. I introduced him to "Bewitched" (streaming on Roku) in the afternoon, while he was sitting and whipping his binding back; both he and his sister were exceedingly interested in the ability to cast spells as well as the "antique items" in the Stevens' home: their rotary dial phone,  hi-fi and console TV. 😉
"Nana, is that the way your house was when you were a girl and watched everything in black and white?" Yep, it sure was!
The carefully spaced out breaks (with snacks) helped to keep the day fun and not overly tiring or monotonous.
With that "Time Out" perspective front and center, let me extend warm winter wishes to you for the next few weeks. Everything's fine, I'm just going to be taking a short break from posting for a bit but will be back soon. Stay safe and healthy, get cozy with a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy these last few remaining January days.

Life is Good!

Cute grandson! I remember asking my Mom what it was like in the “olden days”, after she read us Laura Ingalls Wilder book!

Yes! AND we also had to get up and walk to the TV to change the channel. lol. I love the concentration on the binding!

Such a sweet photo of him bent over his work. He will have reason to be proud when that quilt is completed. And gotta love the little Star Wars scene on the table. :)
