A VERY Busy Week Gone By...

Some of you have asked where I've been. I've been here; we had a very busy little visitor for the better part of last week. After he went to bed at night Nana crashed. This will give you an idea. So sweet. So busy!!

It's Time...

Our granddaughter decided that the time is now. It's been a busy day, my husband and I spent the day in the mountains and had a leisurely lunch. We got back home just in time to change clothes and make it to a birthday dinner for my sister-in-law at a nearby restaurant, that's when the telephone call came. "Can you come", my daughter asked; "I think it's time". Everyone thought they had a few more weeks to prepare, she isn't due until the 31st; everyone, that is, except this little one. It's after 11 PM now and we're babysitting while Mason sleeps. He has no idea what tomorrow holds for him, his life is about to change forever. And so, we wait; for a call from the hospital. We wait and pray for her safe arrival! Will it be today, will she share a birthday with her Aunt Barbara? Will she hold out another hour and create a birthday of her own within our family? Only God knows, His timing is always perfect.

... and I need coffee...

Adventures In Babysitting

We were held captive in the Capital City over the weekend; firmly and completely under the spell of our grandson! He is more and more fun each and every time we see him. Our daughter and son in law went out for the evening on Saturday, we couldn't shoo them out the door fast enough! Gramps, Nana and Mason (in his stroller) went for a long walk before bedtime, in fact Mason fell sound asleep before we got back to the house. I was able to squeeze in plenty of rocking and cuddle time, enough to last me, oh, a week or so! Gramps helped out a little yesterday morning before we returned home; he installed the oh-so-necessary cabinet latches on the kitchen cabinets, Mason was his self-appointed apprentice. To be honest, I don't know if there was any happier man on the earth than Gramps when Mason showed an distinct interest in the power tools! Oh, boy!
