I'm In...

...TIME OUT!
(not the because I was naughty kind, but rather the blogger-break kind)
No worries, it's all good. I won't be posting for awhile; life has intervened, and there's nowhere I'd rather be...

Life is GOOD!
...but you already knew that...
It really, really is!

Birthday Girl

I'm back from a self-imposed 'Time Out'! Since I last posted here there's been a birthday party and many, many miles traveled. I will return with details, but in the meantime I have laundry to catch up on and hundreds upon hundreds of photos to download; until then, here's our birthday girl loving on her birthday dress and thoroughly enjoying every bit of sweetness from a real birthday cupcake!

Time Out!

Some of that time I've saved,
I'm using it elsewhere for a while.
I'll be back...

Goin' Wild This Weekend...

My daughter and I are becoming Wild Women, once again, this weekend! It's time for our annual trip up the mountain to our church camp and conference center near Asheville. Always relaxing, spirit-renewing and inspirational; these Wild Women retreats are such a great time to reconnect with old friends, new friends and each other. There's fellowship, fun and delicious food as well as Bible study and quiet time. I'm looking forward to some rocking-chair-on-the-porch time, too; to welcome the sights and sounds of Spring in the majesty of God's creation. This weekend will all too soon be over and the hustle and bustle of everyday life will seep in once again, I know that. But for this one weekend, in a place apart, I will revel in the opportunity to explore and understand what God means to me and how I might become a better witness to Him!

Time Out

Yes, this is Mrs. Goodneedle's temporary "time out" from the blogging world. No, not for naps, (what's that?) like Turbo's; just day-to-day livin'! You know how it is...

First, there's a LOT going on right now, hence the lack of posts, bear with me. I'm spread a little thin with challenges in both my personal and church lives. I have no doubt that this, too, will pass... with time.

Second, good news: the switch on the sewing machine was, indeed, located. (Thanks, Hannes!) I managed to get two 'Next Door Neighbor" blocks sewn for block-of-the month class yesterday, what a relief to get some much needed needle and thread therapy.

Lastly, Quiltkeemosabe and I practiced some retail rehabilitation for an upcoming quilt class this past Monday, we had a blast gathering fabrics and assisting each other in our choices. Mine will be traditional; hers, not so much! She chose wildly cheerful, bright colors and carried home a whole bagful of "happy". (Compare/contrast below.) Our class is an album class, one of demanding piecing and intensive applique; we'll be together for a year, meeting monthly. We'll attend the preview class on Sunday, you can be sure that I'll post photos from that event! This class is just the treatment I need, when I need it the most. I do what I can, you understand, solely for the health benefits!
