Be Forward Looking When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us. ~Alexander Graham Bell
God so often helps us by taking things away from us. It's frustrating and sorrowful, but just as necessary as it is saddening. Especially when you're right in the middle of it.
I just left a comment on Honeybee's blog about how having something taken always ends up fitting into a very obvious plan when looked BACK on. This, unfortunately rarely helps when in the middle of the loss. It still feels like a loss, even with 100% faith that it will eventually fit nicely into a plan.
By the way, what Bell said right AFTER that quote you posted had an even bigger impact on the world:
"Man, I wish I could talk to my brother in Boston without having to ride a horse the whole way there..."
