... isn't this an ultimate act of faith? Planting tulips, daffodils and hyacinths when everything in sight is dying to the seasonal change at hand? I bury the bulbs in the chilling earth while my heart swells in anticipation of what only my mind's eye can see.
Faith is not belief. Belief is passive, faith is active.
