I drink very few soft drinks these days, with age comes wisdom, nowadays I'm protecting my bones for the future! It hasn't always been this way, I used to drink sodas with wild abandon. When I finished up the grocery shopping on Thursday I purchased a bottle of Diet Dr. Pepper out of the cooler at the check out; just for old times sake, it made me feel young and altogether reckless again! I drank half of it on the way home, replaced the cap and refrigerated the remaining drink. At lunch time on Friday I grabbed the bottle and twisted off the cap. There was a code on the inside of the lid, a series of numbers and letters ending with "U WIN". Huh? Further inspection of the cap carried instructions that led me to the company's website. I had to log in and create an account to determine my winnings. The entire process took approximately ten minutes; all the while I was wondering what I could have possibly won; a trip, cash, a new car? The answer flashed across the computer screen: "You've WON... a free Diet Dr. Pepper! Your coupon should arrive in approximately four to six weeks!" Oh. Then I saw it, printed BOLDLY across the label on the now empty bottle: "ONE IN SIX WINS A FREE DR. PEPPER". It pays to read. But, still...I won! I won!!

Have you ever tried a Mexican Coke? MMMMMMM. They are still made with corn syrup and are to die for.
I've given up my diet pepsi since I started my new diet. It's hard!! I like the diet Dr. P too.

Too funny! I am sitting her shaking my head...wondering about all the Dr. Pepper's I've had at work...could one have been a free vacation and I missed it? (sign...)

oh how exciting!! i love diet dr. pepper....and the other day robin talked me into looking for the new limited edition flavor...cherry chocolate dr. pepper....being that dr. pepper's were on sale....i got a whole 12 pack of the new flavor...and sad to say....i don't like it! :(
Do you have any idea how many diet cokes I have had and never won anything! I figure if I haven't, nobody has! so glad you dispelled that myth. Wish it had been a car!

If you earned $10 an hour and spent 10 minutes to win - that would be a $1 Dr. Pepper (I just used $10 because it is easy for me math wise!). On Coca-Cola - my sister's sons have OI (a bone disease where they break bones frequently until puberty) - their specialist told her - no coke because it creates tiny holes in growing bones. Yikes, if this is true!!! No coke in my household! BUT - ginger is good for seasickness so gingerale will do in a pinch...
