Front , Back, And A Close-Up!

All the stitching and tension problems of last week have evaporated, "Patriotic Pizazz" (71" X 84.5") is off the rails, and I love it! It seems that I'm forever trading one problem for another, though. I can't seem to find a great place for photographing quilts. I enlisted my husband's help with an outdoor photo shoot early yesterday morning, we clipped it to a temporary clothesline but that didn't work well at all, we couldn't make the line as rigid as it needed to be. I did these three in the basement workshop, I used binder clips to attach the edge to an overhead steel beam, it worked fine but it's not ideal, he told me he's going to help me come up with something better. I took the camera around to the other side to get a shot of the pieced back, there was a shadow across the top but you get the idea. I plan to get some binding on this one over the weekend.

What a completely neat quilt!!! I love this one. A favorite for sure. And look at that quilting. Its flowing, evenly paced, relaxed.

And Nancy is right - that's Border is really snazzy. I dig it.

I have a set up I can do all by myself. I got a curtain rod that telescopes (at IKEA< but not sure you have one). I hang the quilt from those rings that have a little clip on the bottom. I clip them on the quilt ahead of time and I hang the rod from hooks my husband screwed into the frame on the porch. I'm on my way out the door to soccer, but I will be more than happy to take pictures to send. I leave the hooks out all the time, but only use the rod when I'm taking pictures.

Lovely quilt!! I also enjoyed your comments on Troutman Rockers. I have two similar ones (not Troutmans of course) and wouldn't part with them.

Absolutely great quilt, I love it! I tend to enjoy Patriotic, and having the RWB in quilts is wonderful! Did you use the *Stack the Deck* pattern, whatever you used it is perfect for your quilt? Displaying quilts for pictures is really tough, I have yet to find the perfect plan!
