Progress In The Attic Home Theater
Step, by step, panel by panel, progress on the home theater is moving forward. My husband designed the side walls to be outfitted with upholstered panels what will cleverly conceal both the speakers as well as the doors to the storage areas under the eaves while improving sound quality in the room at the same time. He has handcrafted every inch of the oak woodwork and has been frustrated, from time to time, at how long this project is taking. He becomes impatient with repetitive tasks; counting down, one by one, how many more panels he needs to make, something quilters can surely relate to! But as you can see, the space is functional now for both TV watching (and napping!), the finished room (with kitchenette and half-bath) will be well worth the wait! I'm patient, I'm a quilter! Pass the popcorn...

Oh I can't wait for movie night!
Pass the popcorn? Ha. We're all looking forward to courtesy tickets, a soft seat, and perhaps small subdued lighting here and there to do our handwork by ;)
I am still on "Secret Life of Bees". I shall not be moved.
Your hubby does GREAT work! I'm sending this link to my dad, his media room needs a new TV, this is inspiring!
It will be worth the wait....I am telling myself that about Go Postal's project too. The fabric panels are a great idea!
Sounds like a beautiful room! I know you can't wait for the first movie night.
How cleverly cool is that? I mean the way it's all set up with the upholstered panels and all! Wow. I'm impressed. DH is very awesome although I'm thinking someone of the quilty persuasion selected that great fabric? This is such a treat. Thanks for sharing the progress.
What a luxurious room it is! Handcrafted by hubby--what could be better?
Without a doubt, each moment spent in preparation of the room will be matched with the rewards of wonderful moments spent in the room viewing those movies that await you.
