Am I Crazy?
Look what followed me home last night! This packet of gorgeous fabrics will be used to make an appliqué quilt from this pattern. Have I finished the last appliqué quilt I began? No. Am I crazy? Maybe. The first time I saw this quilt made up I knew I would sign up for the block-of-the month class. I've heard it said that there are those quilt students who exhibit lemming-like (or, most recently, red-wing blackbird) behavior; possessing a group hypnotized mentality that ultimately brings about one's own demise. Am I that easily led? No. Do I need another project? No. Am I crazy? Maybe, just maybe, I am.

Beautiful fabrics indeed! And I think we are all a little crazy- it's good for us! Enjoy working on the quilt, it looks gorgeous!
Never crazy because if you were than I would say that 90% of us are crazy too....what a crazy would this would be..
I am sooooo attracted to this color palette, and am especially loving the cream print; those fabrics could follow me home any old time! This quilt's going to be a stunner!
There are lot worse problems that fabric leemingocity. You could be afflicted (as I am) with sewing gadget-itis.
Oh, my. I do like that rabbit block, though, you redwing blackbird you.
Did you see my list of UFOs? It contains five, count 'em, 5!! applique quilts. I just went to my quilt spreadsheet that I keep in GoogleDocs and counted the 'other' applique quilts that did not make the list: 6 more. If you are crazy, then I am certifiable.
I love Hop To It!! Yours will be beautiful---I plan to do my applique with my embroidery machine :) I'm so glad she made a cd of designs!
Fear not -- you are in good company. That is a beautiful quilt. The rest of us crazies out here in blogland will cheer you along -- but only if you promise to do the same for us the next time one of us caves on a simply irresistible project.
YEP! Crazy!
Thats a good kind of crazy
This is not insanity, Mrs. G. This is pure, all-out charity. I mean, the fabric FOLLOWED you home! What else would you do!!? I'm so in awe of your loving kindness!! I have the pattern book and it's on the "not-this-year, but as soon-as-possible" list, but mine was no act of charity. When I saw the book, I chased it down with a vengence. While I'm repenting, I'll watch your progress and wallow in envy!! LOL Blessings!

Gorgeous fabrics, beautiful quilt. I've banned myself from block of the month projects since I have so many unfinished!
There is beauty in your craziness ;>D, and I love your kind of crazy! Enjoy yourself, we will be excited to watch your progress! Have a wonderful week!
lalalalala CAN'T HEAR YOU!! lalalalala NOT GONNA DO IT!!! lalalalala I MEAN IT!!!!!
You are only as crazy as the rest of us! So are you calling me crazy????
I must be crazy too because with a room full of fabric, unfinished BOM's and RRCB blocks everywhere, I still went out today and managed to buy more.
I fear that someday they'll give us special license plates that only allow us to drive at night when the fabric stores are closed!
BTW-that is some gorgeous fabric.

OH.... that quilt looks like a LOT of work!! :))
Have fun with it!
Happy New Year.
I have that book! I could resist and I even paid full price for it! How are you doing the aplique? I would like to make the quilt some day as well!
Happy sewing!
I understand, I feel it too. Quiltkeemosabe promises me there are worse addictions! Keep me posted on Salem Stitcher's resolve! You Ladies are a Hoot!!
Oh, it is beautiful fabric. I am doing it too but in Martinque by Moda so mine will look totally different.
Crazy? No - I think you're about to undertake a beautiful project. I hope you won't mind if I lurk to watch your progress. :-)
What a lovely stack of happy goodness you have there! Those are going to look beautiful. I'm doing a BOM with the same pattern, and am excited to see so many others working on it too in such different fabrics!
