You know me, when I find a product that I like I can't keep it to myself. That's just the way I am, I've always had trouble keeping my mouth shut. I've decided to keep a list on my sidebar of items I really like; those products that not only meet, but exceed, my expectations. Anyway, as I promised the other day... I am here to report on the
John James Gold 'n Glide needles for appliqué. I
didn't want to love these, I don't like change and I was in love with
Clover's Black Gold needles already. I still really love the Black Gold... but, I love these too! They perform equally, stitch for stitch; and, by comparison, the JJ's are 10 in a package for about three dollars (The Clover BG's are packaged 6 for around 6 dollars!) and are
much easier to thread. I borrowed this photo from the web for illustration, but I field tested the size 11. This needle felt nice in my hand and, even though it's quite fine, it somehow felt sturdier, too; I don't believe it will bend as easily as the Clover BG needle.
Sew, (sorry, I couldn't resist), I'm adding this needle to my list. Because, after all, the first thing on Goodneedle's List should be a
really good needle! This is a personal recommendation, the author receives no compensation for this endorsement. If you love them too, you can thank me; but, if you don't, I refuse to accept any blame! That's just the way I am.

Thanks! I love reading recommendations from people who really use the product. I'll be looking forward to hearing about your other picks!
This is the second recommendation of these needles that I've read. I should try to find them. There is a quilt show coming up, maybe there?
Since I will have forgotten this by the time I give in and get serious about applique, I will hopefully remember to look to Mrs. Goodneedle for a good needle recommendation!
Thank you for this review...I will look for these!!! I need easier to thread these days!!
I'll have to give them a try. I like the black gold needles but bend them too easily.
thanks I am always looking for good needles and ones recommended by other quilts, I am going to give them a try
thanks

I like these as well. Karen K. Buckley turned me onto them. I do like the Clover needles as well, but for the same reason you like the JJ's I do as well.
I love the Black Gold needles too but they are certainly pricey so I'm glad to know that these are comparable. blessings, marlene
you should either make your list link to your post about that item
or link to a place you can buy those items....
from a person who has no clue what the things on your list mean, i think it would help! :)
