After drafting and refining
the pattern for this little star block I began pulling scraps. I was pulling blues too, for awhile; and then one little star told me (obviously the spokesperson for the group) that they really wanted to live out their lives as a red and white quilt! OK, little star, I'm listening. There will be every shade of red and white, these little stars will, indeed, be twinkling! I've set aside an hour a day to stitch up one set, positive/negative, from two different fabrics. At that rate, with solid determination, there could be a completed center portion of this quilt top in early November...
that and a cavernous dent in my stash of reds and whites. Wish me luck.

The best of luck to you on this project. May your discipline pay off as planned, and may all your stars be red and white twinkling ones! It will be lovely!

When I first looked at it I thought it was going to be red and cheddar! The floor at a glance made me think that (and I have to say, I liked it!)
Red and white will be stunning too :)
Oh dear, I'm in love! I need another project like I need a hole in my head......oh dear...I think I hear all those black and whites in my stash crying out......
Love how this came out!
OOOoooh, pretty! Love that curve that shows up to caress the stars!
Looking great...good job you listened!
Wow that is stunning. I would love the pattern now that I see what you have done with the individual block. I see that best as a 2 color quilt. Eagerly awaiting pattern. Thanks.

A classic in the making, and I hope to see it hanging as an entry in the March 2012 quilt show red and white challenge. I am looking forward to watching as it unfolds. B
I enjoyed seeing your EQ pattern and the quilt design. I love playing around in EQ.
Wow, that is great. It almost made me dizzy with the look of waves.
Wow that is going to be an incredibly beautiful quilt. I hope the recipient is really special and will appreciate all the effort that is put into it.
Oh MY!!! You can just send these right on to my house!!!
I have never met a red and white quilt that I did not like - and that quilt just sings two colors. Will watch your progress with great interest. Judy C in NC
