We drive through some pretty countryside and made a few interesting stops on our way to Halifax during our recent trip to Nova Scotia. Below is Bear River, a community on stilts:
Historic Gardens, Annapolis Royal:
Hampton Harbour:
Foxhill Dairy, when was the last time you saw milk in glass bottles?:
Blomidon Estate Winery, we enjoyed their signature Blow Me Down* red; also bottled in glass:
Arriving in Halifax:

You certainly captured the beauty of the area. Yesterday I was hiking along the ocean and thinking of your trip to Peggy's Cove, remembering my visit there. The rocks were so cool. I felt as though I was walking on top of an elephant! ~karen
What fun.
Thank you for the lovely pictures and descriptions - I've been enjoying my vicarious vacation!
May never get there personally, but I feel like I have been there. Beautiful sights!
My husband's grandparents lived in Grandville Ferry in the Anapolis Royal area. It is such a pretty place. I haven't seen glass bottles for awhile. I used to have one that sat in my window - very fun..
Thanks for sharing your journey- Nova Scotia is a gorgeous province.
Regards,
Anna
I love your photos of Halifax, my daughter studied there when she was younger and we visited briefly...would have liked to have stayed longer.
