The Eagle Has Landed...
... both literally and figuratively! From the literal standpoint: this month's Bless This House block is shown here all fused in place and ready to be stitched down. I have used two shades of long-hoarded blue fabrics given to me by a friend from Denmark; I just love the rich color it adds to this appliqué design. From the figurative perspective: my parents are home again in New Hampshire, they called early this afternoon when they arrived. I am so happy to think of them healthy and sleeping in their own bed again tonight; it's been a lo-o-o-o-ng road home for them! To celebrate their good news, and safe passage, I spent some time this afternoon sitting in front of the sewing machine; I'll be caught up with my BOM assignment in no time!
