Football? Sewing? No Contest!

How are you spending Super Bowl Sunday?

It looks like Mason is speaking on behalf
of the boys in the family, it's all football.
I, for one, am planning a day long sew-a-thon!
(My husband, a Green Bay fan, will never miss me!)

...and, because my grandchildren get equal blog time,
here's Little Miss Happy expressing her delight upon
learning that Nana can sew all day uninterrupted!

My feelings, exactly!

A GRRRRREAT Day To Be A Tiger!

Our daughter is a proud Auburn alumni. I stayed up last night until midnight, just for her, to witness her beloved Tigers win the National college football championship game. (OK, I may have napped some during the game but I watched the spectacular finish!) She has rigid good-luck rituals that she adheres to before games: dressing her family in orange clothing and, last night, she even prepared an all-orange dinner! Looks like her strategy worked. It's a happy day at her house this morning. I wonder who's more excited here, Mom or Lucy Ann?

A Pirate, A Thief!

Mason, our little man of many talents, has added two new titles to his résumé. It just so happens that Mason's daddy is a graduate of East Carolina University, and ECU has arrived in the Capital City this weekend to play football against the NC State Wolfpack at Carter Finley stadium. The visiting Pirates cheerleaders made an appearance at Omega Sports last evening for a photo op with kiddos wearing ECU Pirate purple. Dressed appropriately, guess who stole the show?

Yep, you're right!
He's a Pirate (at least until Auburn plays) and a thief!
