Don't Dump Those Christmas Cards!

Earlier this week I mentioned using our Christmas cards as part of  morning devotions for this coming year. Shortly after I posted that a friend reminded me about recycling the card fronts to St. Jude's Ranch for Children. I carefully separated my card fronts from the backs and packed up a big, fat, envelope to send off to Nevada for fundraising at the ranch. Our photo cards and personal greetings (written on the inside) are held together with a binder ring and sit atop the Bible awaiting their turn for daily prayer.

Card Donating Tips:
  • All types of greeting cards, including Christmas are used.
  • Only the card front can be used (please check to be sure the back side is clear of any writing, etc.)
  • We can not accept Hallmark, Disney or American Greeting cards.
  • 5″ x 7″ size or smaller is preferred.
  • Mail donations to :
    St. Jude’s Ranch for Children
    Recycled Card Program
    100 St. Jude’s Street
    Boulder City, NV 89005
  • Thank you!
Life is Good!

oh thank you for sharing this!!! It is so hard for me to throw away any cards, and often times I rip off the fronts and reused them as a post card like note...

Can you believe that at my dad's home, he still has all of the get well cards that were mailed to my mother when she was battling her cancer?? and she died in 1999. Several times he's asked me if I want them - that he hates to throw them out and I've never taken them, but now I know exactly what to do with them!! Thanks!

Happy Weekend at Camp Dogwood!! ~bonnie
