More Challenges!

Just when I felt as though I was finding my way through the "Head For The Border" challenge I am confronted with another set of challenges in these blocks-of-the-month. These "only squares and rectangles" blocks are three quarters of the way complete, nine out of twelve in each of two colorways are pictured here. I have absolutely no idea how I will set them together. I find this side-by-side comparison interesting, the blocks look entirely different. I'll attend the next session at my LQS for block #10 tomorrow; my mind is racing with setting possibilities, it's not to early to start planning. What would you do if these blocks were yours?

Thanks for letting me see them side by side like this. They look good! And yes, it is time to start gathering ideas for settings!

Like that black and gold version!

I see some rearranging to create a strong diagonal ... have fun scheming!

They are so contemporary looking! I'm thinking that treating them as a contemporary quilt with minimalist borders would be best.

I have absolutely no ideas. This is so out of my realm--but I know you will come up with something that looks great!

Wow! I love that block center right. This is one of those instances when I would pull out one (or all) of my setting books.

I would play with them on point, with lots of space between them.

You are sew right, it's hard to believe that some of them are the same block. I've always loved going to quilt shows and seeing the same quilt side by side and am always amazed by just how different they look.

I would used the background fabric to "float" the various squares in a random pattern. Also, I love the new pictures of the grandkids!
